Louis Vesperman purchased the farm in the late 1890’s. Since then, the farm has been passed down through the family, each generation making their own improvements and changes. Now, more than 100 years later, Kyle Vesperman is the fifth generation to manage the farm along with his parents, Bruce and Judy, who still live in the original farm house among the rolling hills and prairies of Southwestern Wisconsin.

The farm has undergone many changes in its extensive history. In the early years, most work was done by hand or with horses. Tractors were added in the 1930’s and then came the large scale hog and cattle buildings in the 1970’s. Today, the only animals that remain are a few dear family pets. The land is still cropped; however the work is contracted out to other local farmers who have equipment so massive they can accomplish in an afternoon what used to take three or four weeks to complete. In any case, the beauty and history of the farm remain. We invite you to come out and visit for an afternoon.
