Every detail of Megan and Birch's wedding left us breathless. Each table was unique, set with intricate, vintage details. The romantic lighting. The dramatic draping. The greenery. The XOXOs. Each detail was carefully thought through and meticulously executed. It was simply gorgeous. Photos by Amy Helt Photography And we can say the same thing of this couple. They were, first of all, fantastic to work with from a creative standpoint, but also just one of those simply elegant couples that give you relationship envy. Add on that they are just two of the nicest people you will ever meet, and you can see why we so enjoyed helping them celebrate their wedding day. They also wowed us with their desserts, a ridiculously good looking and delicious selection of donuts from Greenbush Bakery in Madison. Donuts for dessert is a trend that we are fully on board with! Thank you, Megan and Birch, for choosing us as your wedding venue!

While you're chasing down steals on furniture and clothes, Kyle is locking down a different kind of Black Friday deal...on pumpkin seeds and strawberry plants! By ordering in November, Kyle not only gets the best selection of varieties, but also an early bird special on the price. These seeds and plants will become part of next year's crop to take home, carve, and enjoy! Guys, these past two years have been a whirlwind. We are just so grateful for the couples who choose us to help them celebrate their wedding day, to the people who support our events and hold their special events with us, to the families who come for fall fun, and to our fantastic partners and employees who keep us running, keep us laughing, keep us going. On this day of blessings, we just want to give thanks to all of you who have supported us along the way, everyone who comes back year after year, and those who believe in us in every new venture. Thank you. And Happy Thanksgiving. It's a bit later than I promised, but we did finish off the interior of the barn, and it's served as the backdrop for a variety of events in the last two years. Not only is the interior gorgeous (in our opinion), but it has a lot of meaning to the Vesperman Farms family. The stone, boards, and beams all came from a barn that blew down on the property in 2012 with those high winds (check out the damage below!). We make fun of Kyle and his dad for being superstar packrats, but it was great that they kept this material, as it made for some of the most unique and stunning parts of the barn's overall vibe. The tin and a many of the other barn boards also came from another family building: a barn that Kyle helped take down on his aunt and uncle's farm. We did have to find a wholesaler for a few of the boards—there was quite a bit of real estate to cover in the space! Unique for our type of venue are indoor, fully finished restroom facilities. We carried over the rustic theme for the tiling and countertop finishes and even used some of the barn boards for the mirror frames. Finishing the barn took about four months, from the start of the year to just before our first event in the barn: Breakfast with the Easter Bunny in April 2016. It was great to see people's reactions to the space, and it's even more fun for us to tell the story of how it came to be. From old barns to new, Vesperman Farms continues to keep their history alive, and we are excited to be able to share it with all of you. The lights are still on at this Century Farm.
But now that we feel that we have gotten our feet underneath us (and we have a little more time), we are exited to give you more Stories from the Farm in the near future! Tune in for highlights from our weddings at the farm featuring our lovely couples, stories about fall season fun, posts about wedding planning and style, farm living, and probably new things that we haven't even thought of yet!
We're having fun with this all, and we hope you all join us. Morgan and the staff at Vesperman Farms |
